Here’s a way to get better Google leads at lower cost…

It’s rare when Google goes out of its way to do something nice for their advertisers, so this is pretty good news worth sharing.

After experimenting with “Local Service Ads” for a few years, Google has now officially rolled it out nationwide, for all contractors and service companies in the pool industry.

Now commonly referred to as “LSA’s,” these new ads have shouldered their way above and beyond all other ads, showing up right at the top of the page.

Why should you care? Let me count the ways:

  1. The cost per click is less then regular PPC ads.
  2. It’s the first thing everyone sees.
  3. It naturally attracts the “now buyers” who are ready to take immediate action.
  4. You don’t pay unless they actually CALL you or MESSAGE you.
  5. And if you get a bad lead (not appropriate for what you sell), Google will actually refund you a credit.
  6. You can also show off your “Google Guarantee” badge, if you go through the proper steps.

I think this is a pretty big deal, considering (1) Google Pay per click has gotten pretty competitive lately, and (2) the average cost per click has more than doubled in the last year.

If you can get a “now buyer” at half the cost of a regular click, I’d say that’s worth looking into!

And if that’s not enough to get you excited, consider this: These new Local Service Ads are grabbing most of the “now buyers” right at the top of the page, leaving nothing but “stragglers” to trudge on further down the page, and past the map, and MAYBE have a look at your “regular” Google ad.

(And you can FORGET about your ORGANIC listing. It’s now over on page 2.)

BOTTOM LINE: If you’re not doing Local Service Ads, you probably should be.

Let me point out this isn’t quite as simple as “flipping a switch.”You actually have to apply and get qualified to participate in the local service ads.

It typically takes a week or so, if you know what you’re doing.

I suggest you talk to my buddy “The Professor,” Dane Wiseman.

He’s a master at this stuff.

(Which is good, because I don’t like to mess with this stuff. I leave it to the professionals.)
