Modern Challenges for the Pool Industry, 2025 and Beyond…

In Q4 of last year, in cooperation with Watershape University, I surveyed over 500 business owners across the United States and Canada, and asked them:

“What are your top business concerns
going into 2025 and beyond?”

Our goal was to:

  1. Understand what most pool industry business owners are concerned about right now.
  2. And then share the best possible strategic and tactical advice available, from experts both inside and outside the industry.

Sure enough, as the results poured in, these six key issues bubbled to the top:

  1. Lead Generation: Quantity AND Quality.
  2. Labor shortages / Finding good help.
  3. Competition / Losing on price.
  4. Rising costs / profitability challenges.
  5. High interest rates, scaring away the buyers.
  6. “I’m getting old” / Developing an Exit Strategy

With these issues identified, we then met with other experts in the industry, and came up with our best recommendations for each of these challenges.

For the first time ever, professor Dane Wiseman and I will be sharing these results and recommendations at the “Southwest Pool and Spa Show” (SWPSS) in Houston TX, and again the following Saturday in Orlando Florida at the “Everything Under The Sun” (EUTS) show.

Saturday, FEB 8, 9:15 AM at the SWPSS, Room 351-DE

Saturday, FEB 15, 9:00 AM at the EUTS, Room W230C

I hope to see you there.
